The flippy bob has definitely been the comeback kid of 2024. The hairstyle, which had a major moment in the early 2000s, made a triumphant return to the trend cycle right at the beginning of the year and hasn’t slowed down since. We’ve seen it on Christina Aguilera, Emma Stone, and Jennifer Lopez, to name a few, but Saweetie’s version may just be the flippiest of all the flippy bobs.
The “My Best” rapper gave us a peek at her bouncy bob in an adorable Instagram Story video, which she shot during a quick trip to the convenience store. (Been there.) Her hair is parted deeply to one side and hits between her chin and collarbones, with the ends curled outward in perfect, ultra flippy flicks. The front portion of her hair has been curled into an elongated wave that dips over her brow and cups her cheekbone, and she wears the other side tucked behind an ear, showing off a silver hoop earring.
As she walks through the aisle of the store, Saweetie plays with her hair, tousling the ends to show off the bob’s signature springy bounce and movement. As someone who had a flippy bob back in the ’00s, I can vividly remember how much fun it was to play with with, and Saweetie would probably agree. Though the video was definitely all about the bob, we also got a glimpse at Saweetie’s latest manicure, a sweet, sheer baby pink shade in her go-to ultra-long, razor-sharp stiletto shape.
