I have been doing a few split shifts at Chaumet at Oakridge Park for the last month and I think I underestimated how tired I would be training at one location and then trying to get everything I want to get done at my home store as I basically work 3 days/week at my own store. While I feel like that would be enough time for most managers, with people taking vacation, wanting to merchandise and organize stock and having a larger client base than before that I like to manage “the type A Jayne way”, it has left me working more than 40 hours to week to keep up. Amazingly, I have managed to keep up with sheet masking every day so at least one small aspect of my life feels put together!
I have reviewed almost all of the sheet masks that Garnier releases as I like to keep tabs on how the North Americans are doing with their sheet mask quality! When Garnier first started doing sheet masks, the masks were thicker and the overall experience was okay, but still not quite at Asian sheet mask quality.

This Pro-Retinol Smoothing Serum mask contains acai extract, glycerin and pro-retinol, which is a derivative of vitamin A, and a more gentle option compared to retinol. This mask has half a bottle of serum in the package and is a cream-based essence.

Thickness: Thin-medium, but in a good way!Â
Mask Fit: Wow, really good! It took me like 5 seconds to fit this mask on my face!
Tackiness: Zero
Hydration: Wonderful! My skin felt soft and creamy and I was able to comfortably apply a little bit of moisturizer on top.
Other notes: Vegan and can be composted at home.
Verdict: Like the previous Garnier masks from 10 years ago, my main complaint was that the featured ingredients fell very low on the ingredients list and that has not really changed with this one either, but for some reason I am not mad. I am surprisingly OK with it because I liked how nice my skin felt AND how fast and seamless it was to put the mask on my face! Ingredients in Korean sheet masks are much better and at a similar price point so I really cannot say that I would give up my Korean masks for this one, but I would buy this mask again if it goes on sale which it does quite frequently!
