I have already done a mini review of the new L’Occitane Almond Shimmering Oil on the ol’ Gram, but I loved it SO MUCH that I wanted this product to be Googleable so that everyone can know about it!

The L’Occitane Amande scent has long been one of the brand’s iconic fragrances and ever since trying out the Almond Body Wash back in my 20s, I was hooked on the sweet almond scent. Then came the body oil and now for the summer comes a SHIMMER version of the body oil with that same gourmand scent of almonds!

This oil adds the most subtle shimmer to the skin and absorbs quickly. If your skin is particularly dry, I find that I have to use a base moisturizer first and then finish with this oil, but now that we are headed into warmer and more recently humid days, this oil on its own is perfect for my skin. While the scent is strong at application, by morning I wake up to just a hint of sweet almond on my skin and it is just utterly delectable!

Final verdict: What I was initially comparing this oil to in my head was the NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Shimmer Multi-Purpose Dry Oil and though they are very similar products, their scents are very different as well as the textures. The NUXE oil is a true dry oil where there is zero glide to the product, but the L’Occitane oil has a bit of glide that allows you to feel like you are massaging the product into the skin like a moisturizer.
