A Single Barrette Rendered Sabrina Carpenter Almost Unrecognizable — See Photo

Sabrina Carpenter rarely strays from her signature look, which is arguably long, super-voluminous hair at various levels of curl, curtain bangs, full brows, and brownish-pink lips. We’ve definitely done a few double-takes when she’s gone makeup-free or extra-curly, but our brain has never broken quite so instantaneously as when we saw her completely unexpected look at the Dior Homme menswear ready-to-wear spring-summer 2026 fashion show. And all it took was one hair accessory to transform her look completely.

On Friday, June 27, the “Manchild” singer arrived at the show in Paris wearing a gray suit with a cinched-waist blazer and full, pleated, knee-length skirt—a silhouette Dior became known for in the 1950s. She paired it with super-high, nude, platform peep-toe heels, which are about as Sabrina Carpenter as you can get. But her hair was a major departure from her usual style.

Although she still wore it long and down as she usually does, the blowout was far less voluminous than usual. Instead, it was smooth, with a hint of curl at the ends. But what really threw us off (in the best way possible) was a simple clip. Carpenter kept her deeply side-parted hair—and blended-in bangs—in place with a shiny, basic black barrette.
