I will say that Zoya actually shipped this polish out April 30th. But then it took a cross-state tour of New Jersey for almost 2 weeks! UGH! Then life got in the way and I did not get a chance to post this but good news is that I checked and it is still available on Zoya’s website. Since it’s already June, I noticed that they did not release a June color of the month which they didn’t do last year either. I want a June color for my birthday month. But anywho, here we go.
Starlette feels like it was truly born under the stars—a luminous lilac, electrified with brilliant holographic shimmer (think a lilac more holographic version of Twinklette). It’s the kind of shade that captures the soft magic of spring, then takes it to a whole new level—bold, dimensional, and unforgettable. Whether you’re grounded in Taurus season or embracing Gemini’s dual energy, Starlette mirrors the moment: elegant, expressive, and always catching the light.
Starlette: 3 thin coats plus topcoat. I love this glitter and it is super pretty. You could certainly layer one coat over a pastel purple or use this as gradient tips. It is lovely! The removal is a mess, but the pay off for glitter nails like this is probably worth it. I actually have a glitter base peel off coat type base coat that I only just remembered, and I should try that again!
Of course I had to take pictures outside. If you could not see the sparkle in the indoor pictures, then here ya go. But it is sooo sparkly!
Of course, I had to do a little comparison so from the left to right,
we have Twinklette, Cosette, Starlette, and Fairleigh (I just noticed
the -ette theme). These are all in the same vein of color, but do you
have subtle differences. I really thought Fairleigh was going to be a
dupe of Starlette and I was very wrong. But I’m wondering if I need all
four of these.
Like I said, I want a June color of the
month. Instead, I got the press release that they are releasing a
summer collection, where seven of the colors are repeats or re-releases.
They keep releasing the same neons over and over again and I really
don’t need a third Yohanna, Loni, and Brinkley. I do appreciate
they added Paisley which was a color of the month from last year, but
it’s just not exciting for me to see 7/12 colors be re-releases. These actually just came in, but I will post whenever I get to it! LOL.
