Megan Thee Stallion’s Met Gala Ponytail Defies the Laws of Physics—See Photos

Megan Thee Stallion. Whoa. Thee hottie has arrived at the 2025 Met Gala, and I’ve been left nearly speechless by her hair—a flaming-red ponytail of truly epic proportions. Describing what’s going on here feels like an impossible task past seven o’clock on a Monday after a full day of work, but trust me, this look is worth enduring my brain-fried rambling.

From the front, you might mistake this for an average albeit very voluminous updo; Megan’s hair is slicked back right down to the scalp, secured with what looks like a headband wrapped in matching hair extensions. Behind the headband is where things get sculptural, with three bulbous bouffants stacked on top of one another, each smaller than the one in front of it. An elastic secures the third bouffant, leaving the rest of the hair to flow down into a wavy tail. A line of jewels trails down the center of the entire thing, starting at Megan’s hairline.

We all know Megan works out hard for the sake of her live performances, an impressive feat of squat strength and knee mobility, but has she secretly been conditioning her neck and shoulders this entire time as well? Because this look gives an entirely new meaning to the phrase, “heavy is the head that wears the crown.” And what a crown it is.
