SKINCARE | A by Bom Ultra Bouquet Patch Mask | Cosmetic Proof

Purchased by me

How are we at the end of January already?! While I was on staycation two weeks ago, I did a clean out of “items I have purchased and want to blog about”. One of those items were these A by Bom patch masks that I purchased 7.5 years ago…yeah, I know. In an effort to rip off the Bandaid and USE stuff, I plunked these on my bathroom counter and started using them right away!

Coming in some super chic solid white packaging, these patch masks were all the rage in 2018 and A by Bom was LEADING the charge with this type of sheet mask tech! I remember watching the ad for this on their website and essentially these patches were being marketed as “being bright on your wedding day”. The patches also have a camellia flower design on them which adds to the overall romance and theme of the masks themselves.

The essence features brightening and softening camellia flower extract as well as wild yam, sodium hyaluronate, beta glucan and squalane to hydrate. The masks themselves are made of a thin and soft tencel fibres and can be worn alone or layered with other masks (multi-masking).

I kind of wished they were a touch smaller as some of the ends didn’t sit flush on my cheeks, but they were still effective.

Mask Summary:

Price: $21 USD for one container

What it does: Brighten and hydrate so that you look like a glowing bride on her wedding day!

Scent: Very floral

Essence Type: Clear, lightly viscous

Duration: 15 minutes

Thickness: Thin

Mask Fit: A bit of bubbling due to the size of the patch mask around the contours of the cheekbones.

Tackiness: Light

Hydration: With these patch masks, you will need moisturizer for the rest of your face, but my cheeks did look extra bright!

Other notes: N/A

Final verdict: At the time, I think I would have used mini masks like these a lot more, but now the mini masks have gotten a little more refined like the ones from Anua that fit better underneath the eye and are made of a more “sponge-like” material that seems to have better adherence to the more contoured areas of the face. I also wasn’t a huge fan of how floral these smelled, BUT I did enjoy the flower design.

Do you prefer these mini masks or full sheet masks?
