You know what they say about big brushes… bigger lashes. And the Sephora Collection Big By Definition Defining & Volumizing Mascara gives the biggest, which is why it’s in the November Allure Beauty Box. (That, and editors just really love it.)
But that’s not why I like it. I mean, don’t get me wrong, fullness is great, but what really impresses me is the fact that it only takes one coat to instantly bulk up lashes. And for someone who, 99.9% of the time, is in a rush because I’ve procrastinated getting ready until the very last possible minute… I simply do not have time for multiple coats.
That instant effect is because of the big brush’s thick bristles on the wand. They carefully grip onto each individual hair, separating and spreading the inkiest (but smudge-proof!) pigment. I like to hold the wand at the base of my lashes and wiggle it from side to side until I reach the ends. The result, like I said, is fanned-out, fuller-looking lashes—without the clumps.
But heads up: The removal process can be a bit of a mess if you’re not careful, so I recommend double-cleansing with an oil cleanser (or cleansing balm) to get as much ink off lashes as possible, and then following it up with a gentle gel cleanser to wash away any leftover residue.
