Miley Cyrus has so much ink, she’s practically a picture book. With more than 50 tattoos, the imagery comes in a huge variety of artistic styles, from a simple linework Matisse illustration to an intricately detailed Visconti of Milan coat of arms to a classic rose and photorealistic pet portraits. She also has a growing collection of words and phrases, like a handwritten note from Yoko Ono, and the word “freedom” in delicate script. And it appears that Cyrus was in the mood for another tattoo in that vein, visiting artist Michelle Santana at Bang Bang in New York City to get her latest little addition to the collection.
Santana posted a carousel of photos to Instagram on Monday, June 2, starting off with a cute close-up of the singer-songwriter looking over her right shoulder, where a little area of reddened skin features the word “Muse” in a lovely script.
Other photos show Santana tattooing Cyrus, who wore a simple, black, split-neck tank top and pulled her high-contrast highlighted hair into a cute yet practical top knot. “👑Queen @mileycyrus 👑,” she wrote in the caption. “🙏🏽grateful to have met such a G✨”
