In 2026, the brand will continue to evolve as it enters into a new era focused on personalized, results-driven experiences intended to deliver lasting value.
On March 2, 2026, the Massage Envy brand launched its latest, innovative approach to body care with two top priorities in mind: results-driven and self-guided services.
- Results-driven services: Deliver massage and stretch services focused on meeting the client’s primary goal of relaxation, relief or mobility.
- Self-guided services: Continue to expand offerings to enhance clients’ in-location experience and provide options for those who seek alternative hands-free treatments for well-being.
“Consumers aren’t talking in terms of techniques; they’re talking more in terms of desired outcomes,” expressed Kevin Ramsey, body care service innovation manager for Massage Envy Franchising. “They’re not typically asking for Swedish or trigger point. The data we’ve gathered shows they’re seeking things like relief, clarity, calm and relaxation. They know how they’d like to feel from their session.”
As a result, the newly launched results-driven body care services at Massage Envy franchised locations are focused on addressing three primary goals:
- Relaxation massage and stretch services are calming sessions designed to help soothe everyday stress from muscle tension, enhance well-being and refresh and relax both body and mind.
- Relief massage and stretch services are targeted sessions designed to help ease everyday muscle pain, discomfort and tension.
- Mobility stretch services are designed to focus on promoting better flexibility and mobility.
Body care services will remain personalized experiences, as therapists and stretch providers can always combine elements from multiple services. For example, a relaxation and relief massage to best address a client’s specific needs. Kevin shares, “Massage Envy will continue to stand out as the brand that prioritizes consideration of clients’ needs and concerns for services.”
The innovation behind the scenes continues as the brand introduces more digital and user-friendly tools to help therapists with their appointment notes workflow and recommendations. New additions to the pre-session notes functionality allow therapists to fully manage each session. From changing service types to reviewing and adding enhancements, these new tools are intended to help therapists establish expectations and make expert recommendations during consultation.
With the launch, massage therapists and stretch providers will remain empowered as the expert in the member journey, enhancing their toolsets through training updates with both technical skills and communication. In addition to the 40+ free continuing education courses massage therapists at franchised locations regularly have access to, additional training for both results-driven massage and stretch have been implemented across the brand. “Clients are looking for help to feel better, and they’re looking to the service provider as the trusted expert for that help,” Kevin shared.
