This is a flexible, vegan and silicone-free formula that melts into skin and slowly settles onto the skin as the day progresses and promises a 12 hour luminous finish that evens skin tone and disguises the appearance of minimal skin imperfections like hyperpigmentation.Â
The packaging is plastic with a shaker inside and reminds me a lot of the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua! The VB formula isn’t quite as lightweight as it is more of a plump texture, but shaking this bottle totally brought back memories!
The first time I applied this foundation, I used my fingers (ala Wayne Goss) and while it was easy to blend out without any streakiness, I prefer to apply it with a brush because it keeps my hands clean and I feel like the pigments “get more stretch” across my skin! It does have a bit of a tacky finish which truly does leave my skin with a glow at the end of the day that does not look oily, but definitely a little on the shinier side. I haven’t decided how I feel about that yet. If I powder it down, it does help with the tacky sensation, but I still get the glowy look at the end of the day as I don’t powder at all again after my morning makeup is done.

The weightless feeling is absolutely true and I know that as I get older, I don’t want to wear actual foundation would rather do a tinted moisturizer or skin tint-like formula which this foundation is perfect for, but I wish I loved it more than I do. Maybe I’ll be better with it when I am closer to 50 years old than 40 as right now, I still like the feel of a typical foundation.

Final verdict: I’m going to give this a solid try in the summer when I really don’t feel like using much on my face other than concealer to see if I will like it more. At $156, this foundation is crazy expensive, but I also can’t really think of another foundation product I own that is quite like this one. It’s not quite like the drop foundations of a few years ago and it’s not quite like the skin tints I have tried. The way it wears throughout the day is interesting though so I understand why people would like it. Maybe let’s call this verdict a “to be continued”…
