Lush x 12 ~ new fragrances :: Now Smell This

Lush has launched a collection of 12 scents, including 11 new personal fragrances (some of which are based on existing body products) and 1 reissue. (Also new: a bunch of solid roll-up perfumes in older scents like Lust, Rose Jam, Alina, Pansy, American Cream, Karma, Vanillary and more.)

Abiba ~ “Intimate, spicy and empowering. An ode to powerful women and the waves they make. Lush perfumer Emma was inspired to make this warm and comforting perfume when she met the women of the Shea Co-operative in Ghana and saw the powerful female community they had built. This intimate, spicy and empowering fragrance draws on scent memories of her trip and the stories shared over shea butter.” With bay, carrot seed, ylang ylang, frangipani and vetiver. In 100 ml.

Betal ~ “An Indian summer perfume. Sticky green mango in a lush green garden. Betel with lime at the side of the road. Lush perfumer Emma created this evocative blend of davana, jasmine and coriander to evoke vibrant taste memories of her travels in India. The result is resinous, floral and aromatic.” Additional notes include aniseed and mango leaf. In 100 ml.

Bond Street 1972 ~ “Back off or eff off. When you need to command a room, this brilliantly green and grassy perfume means business. Lush perfumer Mark was inspired by his encounters with an elegantly austere receptionist from his early days working in the hair industry, and the bold green wall of fragrance she wore to project an aura of confidence and clarity.” With olibanum and galbanum. In 100 ml.

Chelsea Morning ~ “Butterscotch served sunny side up. A sweet, sunny and buttery perfume that’ll stick to your senses like butterscotch. With bright, biscuity notes and a hint of citrus, it’s a gourmand fragrance with a heart of gold.” (From the bath bomb.) With tonka, lemon myrtle, fenugreek and vanilla. In 30 and 100 ml, and in 11g roll-up solid.

Hungarian Fronds ~ “A postcard from Budapest, written in shades of fennel and chamomile. Rich flavours and subtle sweet notes create a sensorial perfume inspired by the sights and tastes of the city. A unique and intriguing perfume for those who like to smell a bit different.” Additional notes include oregano and rhododendron anthopogon. In 100 ml.

Mr Wallet ~ “Get minted with this sandalwood, vanilla and peppermint perfume. It’s a sweet, humbuggy scent made with ingredients totally unlikely to attract luck and prosperity unless success in life is just down to belief…. Worth a try though, right?” Additional notes include sesame. In 200 ml Body Spray.

No Way To Say Goodbye ~ “A golden storm of blackcurrant and rose. Is loss the price we pay for love? After the passing of a friend, Lush perfumer Mark made this fragrance with benzoin, rose and all the things left unsaid. A complex fragrance that evokes complex emotions, tart blackcurrant and heady rose steal up on you and blossom into a powerfully bittersweet perfume. A reminder that great beauty can be borne of our hardest moments.” Additional notes include litsea cubeba. In 30 and 100 ml, and in 11g roll-up solid.

Sweet Pea ~ “Heady, classical and a little bit wild—like a flower shop at the close of day. This elegant, floral perfume was created by Lush perfumer Emma for her very own wedding day and inspired by her bridal bouquet of fragrant herbs and florals, carefully chosen for their perfume, not their petals.” (A reissue of Lush Bridgerton.) In 100 ml.

The Bee’s Knees ~ ” A true-to-nature honey perfume. A rich and reassuring honey fragrance; fresh like the fields and comforting like home. Lush perfumer Alina was inspired by memories of her father tending to his bees to make this warm and slightly smoky fragrance, with earthy notes and a hint of tobacco.” Additional notes include everlasting flower, osmanthus, orange blossom, neroli and mandarin. In 30 and 100 ml, and in 11g roll-up solid.

The Dew On Their Hems ~ “A fragrant thought from a favourite song. [note: Sisters of Mercy by Leonard Cohen.] This fresh, subtly sweet perfume has bold cucumber notes, a delicate finish, and many layers of meaning.” (From the Woodstock bath bomb.) Additional notes include fir, cedar, litsea cubeba and neroli. In 100 ml.

Time Of The Season ~ “A bold and bohemian neroli perfume that grabs hippies by the bell bottoms.” (From the bath bomb.) Additional notes include patchouli, grapefruit and orange blossom. In 100 ml.

Vegan Leather Jacket ~ “An earthy and smoky fragrance that’ll wrap you up and take you for a ride. The grounding, woody notes of this vegan perfume evoke the warmth of a well-worn leather jacket, making it the ultimate guilty pleasure for vegans. Rich, complex and, let’s face it, sexy.” With clove, tonka and tobacco  In 30 and 100 ml, 11g roll-up solid, and in 30 ml Apparel Oil (for your vegan jacket).
