You can always expect the unexpected when it comes to Kristen Stewart‘s hair. We can wait a long time between public appearances—she’s not one to share peeks at her life on social media or give the paparazzi much opportunity to snap her—and when she shows up on a red carpet, there’s always a good chance her hair will have changed significantly since the last appearance. And she often gets creative with color or cuts. So imagine our surprise when her latest very big change is actually a very… normal one.
Stewart attended a screening of The Chronology Of Water at the London Film Festival on October 16, the first time she’s made an appearance since mid-September, when she was sporting a mix of blonde, faded pink, and plenty of dark roots. In fact, she’s been nearly platinum with some degree of pink for most of the year. But now, for the first time (as far as we can tell) since last October, Stewart is once again a brunette.
The actor is still sporting a style similar to how she’s been wearing it for months: long, with loosely wavy, air-dried look. She also still has fringe, but it’s notably shorter, drifting into baby-bangs territory.
The big difference, though, is the color. It’s now a warm medium-brown—much, much darker than than the blonde she’s been letting grow out, but still quite a bit lighter than the deep brunette she wore for all of 2024.
