For $12, each box contains four “shots” of Pantene’s concentrated “Pro-V” formula which is their most hydrating and damage repair-focused collection. Each shot is intended to repair signs of deep damage from the inside of the hair shaft out using Vitamin B5, glutamic acid and panthenol resulting in shinier, more resilient hair!

Each shot is 15mL and is intended to be used all in one go and massaged into the mid-lengths to ends of the hair. Firstly, 15mL of product is A LOT and I have long hair and cannot find a way to use this much product even on my whole head so one of these shots lasted me ELEVEN treatments! That is an insanely good value if you ignore their instructions and use this like a normal hair treatment instead of what they suggest because 1-2mL of product is enough for my chest length hair, but if your hair is down to your bum then maaaaybe you will be able to use the whole shot. I was just so floored when I read I had to use the whole thing!

Does it work? Well, my hair felt very slippery and silky in the morning which is usually indicative of dimethicone, but as I have mentioned in previous posts over the years, my hair likes dimethicone and it also tends to curl better with my flat iron as there is a coating that on my hair that helps with the glide of the iron. So, yes it definitely worked in terms of making it at least feel like I had happier hair!

Final verdict: For the value and the results, I liked these! There was noticeable difference in smoothness whenever I used this treatment instead of my Andalou Rose Hair Mask which was probably due to the dimethicone, but I felt like my hair looked nicer and less frizzy. I have so many hair masks from both PR and purchasing on my own that are so much more expensive than these ones that once I finally make my way through everything, I think I will go back to the drugstore for my hair treatments!
You can find the Pantene Miracle Intense Rescue Shots at various mass drugstores.
