Indie brand DS & Durga has launched The Colognes, a trio of limited edition fragrances inspired by classic men’s colognes: Golfjazz, Grey Blazer and Rum Bay Rum.
Golfjazz ~ “A freewheeling daydream of questionable tartan fits and fairway greens for giant putts. Swing swing swing! // This is an homage to the deep heavy green chypre/sport colognes that were ubiquitous in New England in the 80s. It’s a golf fantasy by a guy who doesn’t golf. A perfect companion to daydream golfers & patrons of the 19th hole like myself. -D.S.” With grass, limes, leather, mint, moss, patchouli, mimosa, cypress and cedar.
Grey Blazer ~ “Crisp grey wool in soft herringbone tweed. A misty landscape of everyday comfort flecked with flowering grasses. // Grey Blazer is a grey blazer of fragrance – that donegal flecked herringbone you can wear everyday most of the year in formal or relaxed settings. It’s a broadly appealing concoction of herbs, flowers, spices, tea, and musk that works on anyone, anywhere. Rum Bay Rum ~ “A hug from the old world! Bay Rum softened with sandalwood, lime, & linden. // Rum Bay Rum is a classic bay rum I’ve been sitting on since 2008. A DSD team member reminded me of it last year. We dug it out of the archive and realized this soft, spicy bay rum that lasts was needed in the world today! Many men aspire to dress like their grandpa and wear the colognes he would have worn. -D.S.” With west indian bay, linden, sandalwood, clove, neroli, pimento berry, rose, opoponax and juniper berry.
