If there’s one thing Cynthia Erivo is known for, it’s being one of the most talented musical theater performers, like, ever. The EGOT is inevitable, folks. But if there’s another thing Cynthia Erivo is known for, it’s always wearing elaborate nail art. She’s been wearing super-long, colorful, and often textured manicures for nearly a decade, but the world really took notice over the course of world Wicked takeover, and she recently wowed everyone at the Met Gala with a different three-dimensional design on each finger. In other words, Erivo is not a French mani girl.
Or is she?
Erivo, who’ll be hosting the 78th Annual Tony Awards next weekend, has been spotted around New York City over the last couple of days in the most out-of-character set we could image: a French manicure.
OK, so it’s not entirely out of character. The nails are still Erivo-levels of long, and they don’t sport the conventional white tip. (I honestly would’ve fainted.) But still! A French manicure! On Cynthia Erivo! Ariana Grande really has changed her… for good. (Sorry, I can’t not make Wicked references.)
