“The hair cut is the foundation of the style, and what sets everything apart .”
The cut needs to be right to achieve a good mold . The mold should be nice and flat .

Tamara O: Is the hair scissors just for trims? or do you use them for more styles?
Angie Kerr: Hair scissors are called shears in the beauty world.
I use shears for cleaning up the ends . A trim is a cut . It’s call it shaping, Hair shaping or hair cutting
I utilize clippers , shears, feather razor, and thinning shears. Every client is different, and depends on what their hair needs.
T.O:Can you walk me through a day in your life as a hairstylist?
A.K: Start off with a consultation to analyze hair and scalp. If you see any area that may need to be camouflaged because of thinning.
A day in my life starts off with a client coming in. They may need a pre-cut, relaxer and shampoo , mold the hair when it’s dry. Chin down under the dryer so back and sides can be nicely laid . Shape (cut) the hair properly, and style after.
T.O:. What are some of your favorite products ?
A.K.: Dudleys! For relaxers, I like Affirm relaxers , and P Element Soft So relaxer by Patrick Bradley.

Ju Poppin foaming lotion created by Master Stylist Gillian Garcia.
I use Pixie Glam Palm curling irons which are specifically tailored for pixie styling .
I use Patrick Bradley products for lighter and fluffy hair.
Clients with very thick dense hair. I use Gillian’s Ju Poppin foaming lotion to sculpt.
Thank you for your time and expertise Angie, Until Next time!
