If there’s one thing we love about Nicole Kidman (OK, there are many things, but stay with me here), it’s that she always keeps us guessing. She pops up in all kinds of interesting projects, playing the villain in Paddington 2 one day and starring in a spy TV series the next, probably with a project-specific wig to match. She’ll attend the Brat tour in a sassy ponytail one night and then show up at the Met Gala in a bixie cut. She does it all! Kidman is a chameleon on the screen and on the red carpet, and her latest look is the perfect example.
A little over a week after she debuted that dramatic, tailored short style with dark roots at the 2025 Met Gala, Kidman was back to long hair again. (She typically prefers ultra-long lengths versus bobs or lobs.) For the premiere of her Hulu TV series Nine Perfect Strangers, in which she plays the founder of a wellness resort and wears a short platinum bob wig, Kidman wore her blonde hair pulled up in a messy high ponytail. Her hair was gathered back from her face with face-framing bangs pulled out on either side, then tied in a perky ponytail with an undone texture—a fun contrast to her buttoned-up black suit. Kidman loves a slightly messy, bedhead-y look on the red carpet, so we weren’t surprised to see her opt for something a little more lived-in versus a sleek style with not a hair out of place. And it’s definitely long, as the ponytail cascaded down her shoulders in inches of easy waves and soft bends.
