Heyyyyy, we are now in July for our Glam Bags (renamed IPSY Original) and then after this, I just have September to share with you all and then we are all caught up for the holidays! Though some of the previous bags I have shared had products that seemed appropriate for throughout the year, this one definitely feels more geared towards the summer so if that bums you out, I apologize!
BEAUTY CREATIONS COSMETICS | Tease Me Soft Matte Lipstick in Strings Attached
I have never heard of this brand, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the packaging as it was heavy, had the collection of lipstick in raised lettering on the side and a magnetic cap. The formula of the lipstick was also super smooth and lightweight though I am sad the colour is so nude that it borders on concealer-coloured.
For the luxuriousness of the packaging, I was shocked that this was only $6 USD! This could easily have been $20 and I would not have batted an eyelash! I received a FULL SIZE of this product which retails for $6 USD.
TONYMOLY | The Chok Chok Green Team Foam Cleanser
Tonymoly has long been a standard in the Kbeauty world long before Kbeauty hit mainstream North America so I knew this would be a good cleanser! This is a foam cleanser, containing fermented green tea extract for antioxidant goodness, with a very rich lather. Like most foaming cleansers, this does leave your skin with more of a squeaky clean feel which does have its place in my life if I am feeling particularly sweaty, but generally they are not my cleanser of choice. I do really like the scent of this cleanser though as it smells like lemons! I received a deluxe size of this product which retails for $1.87 USD.
REALHER | Long Lasting Makeup Collagen Setting Spray
Founded by a father for his daughter, RealHer is another brand I have not heard of, but this is another product I have been enjoying! I use a setting spray every day so I know what I like and what I don’t. What I loved about this spray was the fine, but still relatively powerful mist that comes out! I also found that my skin still looked like my own, but also held up throughout the work day! While the boost of collagen is nice, I don’t really look for skincare in my makeup products, but it is a nice bonus. I received a deluxe size of this product which retails for $20 USD.
BENEFIT COSMETICS | Hoola Matte Powder Bronzer
We all know this product very well. This was around when I first started blogging back in 2011 and though I know its formula has long been praised, this shade of bronzer is not the most flattering on me so even though I have tried this as a sample in the past, it’s just not a product I use. I will be gifting this to someone who hopefully suits this shade better, but the sample size is very cute and will last a few weeks at least! I received a deluxe size of this product which retails for $8.10 USD.
E.L.F. SKIN | Suntouchable Invisi-Stick SPF 50
I love sunscreen! This was the product that made me go “this bag is more for summer”. I love sunscreen and though I do like the sticks as well, I have noticed that I prefer my facial sunscreen to be in moisturizer form. This is non-greasy, applies clear and is infused with sunflower seed oil for a little bit of hydration.
This sunscreen format is perfect for touch-ups as it does not disturb makeup, but I actually REALLY like it on the body! I hate getting my hands mucky with body sunscreen and I like how lightweight this feels on my arms and legs so that I don’t feel sticky! While I know E.L.F. is a drugstore brand, we don’t get the sunscreen stuff so I am more than happy to have received this! I received a FULL SIZE of this product which retails for $14 USD.
I was pretty happy with July’s IPSY Original Bag! The total value of the bag came out to $49.97 USD = $70.03 (ridiculous exchange my goodness!) and I paid around $25 CDN with shipping so still a deal and a bag where I am enjoying most of the products!
