Hi, I’m Dr. Alan Weidner from Massage Chair Relief, and today I’m going to show you how to use the Tru Iconic Massage Chair for the first time.
This chair is very easy to use and get started with. Since it doesn’t have a closed-toe footrest, you can simply slide in from the front and sit down—you don’t have to insert your feet like you would with a closed-toe ottoman.
There are two ways to power it on:
-
Press the power button twice, or
-
Press the quick key located below it once.
The quick key is actually a little easier. When you press it, the touchscreen display lights up with options for Auto Programs, Manual Programs, Air Massage, and Settings.
To begin, select Auto Mode. You’ll see four categories of automatic programs, each containing its own set of massage options. You can choose any program, but by default, the chair starts in the Master category. Simply select the Master program, and the chair will begin operating.
From there, the chair will automatically recline and start its body scan. Be sure to keep your head back against the chair so the rollers can accurately detect the base of your skull and the top of your shoulders.
The Tru Iconic chair offers a very comfortable massage experience. You can adjust the intensity, heat, and airbag compression as you like—all directly from the program menu. However, even in its default settings, the massage is gentle enough that you won’t feel overwhelmed by the roller pressure.
When you’re finished, you can press the same quick key once to power the chair off—it will automatically return to its neutral position. You can also use the power button, though the touchscreen will ask for confirmation before shutting down.
It’s a simple, user-friendly chair that performs beautifully. The Tru Iconic sits in a great mid-range price point—right between the budget models and the higher-end luxury chairs—making it an excellent value.
