I took off from August Polish Pickup because I have really been enjoying my summer and trying to catch up on what I already have. But September is Halloween-themed, so that had to happen! Here is the contribution from KBShimmer.
KBShimmer Apple Honey Cider Hand & Body Scrub – $11 – 400 Cap
As
the brisk fall air starts to push summer aside, let the cozy scent of
apple cider keep those warm thoughts going for a bit longer. Sweet notes
of honey and vanilla bean provide a rich base for the bright, crisp
aroma of apples. Cinnamon stick and clove add just the right touch of
spice—not too much, just enough to make you think of a freshly poured
mug of cider warming your hands.
I knew I would love this scent. The honey adds sweetness and makes it more unique than the typical but delicious apple cider scent.
KBShimmer Ghosted Nail Polish – No Cap – $13
Ghosted
is a white crelly nail polish with ethereal flakes that give the base a
pale gray appearance. Almost mirror-like, the flakes shimmer in shades
of silver, mint, aqua, pink, lavender, and blue. Layer in two coats for a
squishy, ghostlike look, or go for three coats for full coverage.
Follow with a glitter smoother and a quick-dry topcoat for a glass-like
finish.
Ghosted: 3 coats plus top coat. You know how much I love soft white polishes. Although the description says you can wear two coats, as you can see, my nails are pretty long right now so it had to be three coats. You can still see a little bit of nail line, but it’s so soft and squishy and I absolutely love how this comes off. It’s like a marshmallow color with fun flakes in it. For the third coat, I did a very thin coat so I could get more flakes to float on top. It’s super pretty and delicate and atypical for a Halloween polish. It definitely gives baby shower vibes lol.
Here are the sun and matte shots. I actually wore this one as a full mani. Removal really wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be. I did buff off some stray flakes but it came off fine.
