The long-awaited KBShimmer collection is here! This collection is filled with eight multichrome, magnetic polishes that have shimmery flecks in it and two celestial top coats. There are loads of photos in this post, so let’s just get to it!

Out of This World Collection

Travel beyond the stars with this 10-piece collection inspired by the wonders of the cosmos. Eight new multichrome magnetic polishes take center stage, each specially designed to shine with velvet magnets. In other magnetic styles, like the cat eye, their deep bases reveal small color-shifting flakes and hints of sparkle, creating the look of miniature celestial creations dancing across your fingertips. Want even more cosmic sparkle? Complete the look with two star-and moon-filled glitter toppers in gold and silver.

**For
all of the magnetic polishes, I used the nail polish on its own, even
though you can use it over a black. I magnetized with a horseshoe magnet
on my index in middle and a bar magnet on my ring and pinky. Also there are a ton of photos, but it still doesn’t show simply how versatile and shifty these polishes are!

Crater To Me is a vibrant magnetic multichrome nail polish. The bright pink of this polish quickly flips to a rosy hue, followed by peach, gold, and green. When magnetized, small color-shifting flakes pop against the black background, showing off pink, peach, gold, and green tones, all accented by a scattering of micro holo glitter. Wear it over a one-coat black polish like our Total Eclipse, or alone in 2 to 3 coats for an out-of-this-world manicure.

Crater To Me: 2 coats. This color is so pretty. It’s definitely what I consider a classic multichrome but with that awesome magnetic addition. I found that the bar magnet pulled more of that black and flaky base out. It really just depends what vibe you’re going for. I like the way this one also looked without the magnet, which I think is really important. As I moved my hands indoors, more black appeared on the horseshoe magnet nails, so I really think your mileage will vary when it comes to these polishes in general.

Simply Mars-velous magnetic nail polish features an array of rusty hues. A muted rosy pink quickly gives way to bronze, brass, and antique gold tones. When magnetized, small color-shifting flakes add pops of near-red, orange, gold, and, at extreme angles, green. A dusting of micro holographic glitter adds a touch of sparkle. Wear it over a one-coat black polish like our Total Eclipse, or alone in 2 to 3 coats for an out-of-this-world manicure.

Simply Mars-velous: 2 coats. I really thought that my bottle was mislabeled and this was the same color as the previous color. Actually, a few of the bottles look the same but once you put them on the shifts changed dramatically. This one has more of an orange tone and I absolutely love it. I can see myself pulling this out in the autumn because it just has all the most perfect leaf colors.

Moon A Little Closer nail polish topper is a gold holographic topper that pays homage to the moon and the night sky. Mini holographic stars and crescent moons float in a clear base along with gold holo hex glitters in micro, small, and medium sizes to help create a moon-studded galaxy on your nails. We suggest 1 to 2 coats over our magnetic polishes for the ultimate galaxy-like finish.

Moon A Little Closer: 1 coat over Simply Mars-velous. I was really looking forward to a gold glitter topcoat and I actually don’t even need the stars in the moons in it. I think they fit perfectly with the theme of this collection. I will say a star or a moon came out every time but you could certainly dab to get more if you wanted. I do wish there were more hex glitters only because I was really feeling that. I think this glitter topcoat will look great over these polishes when they aren’t magnetized too.

Quit Your Waning is an antique gold magnetic polish. Shades of gold give way to green at angles, while small colorshifting flakes add pops of near-red, orange, gold, and, at extreme angles, green when magnetized. A touch of sparkling micro holo glitter completes this rich shade. Wear it over a one-coat black polish like our Total Eclipse, or alone in 2 to 3 coats for an out-of-this-world manicure.

Quit Your Waning: 2 coats. This one has lots of golds compared to the previous one which is more copper. So naturally, I love it. I moved my hands in a slightly different angle so I could show off the black aspects with the rainbow flakes. I wasn’t redoing the previous swatches, but wanted to let you know that this differed in the angle and how the black appears in this collection.

Light Years Ahead is a multichrome magnetic nail polish with a color shift that is truly out of this world. A near-coral pink travels between copper, gold, yellow, and lime. Use a magnet to make the small color-shifting flakes pop against the black background. The flakes easily show off pink, peach, gold, and green tones, all accented by a scattering of micro holo glitter. Wear it over a one-coat black polish like our Total Eclipse, or alone in 2 to 3 coats to really make the colors shine.

Light Years Ahead: 2 coats. This one is a lighter green base with loads of pink shift in it. I also love this color in the fall as I think it’s perfect foliage colors. With most of these polishes, I am angling toward enjoying the bar shift more even though I’m all about that horseshoe shift. This one was definitely a favorite for me as the rainbow of colors is super obvious. This is definitely the one you should get!

UFOh Yeah! is a vibrant multichrome magnetic nail polish inspired by little green men. This multichrome polish features a vibrant lime hue that gives way to deeper shades of green, aqua, and blue. When using a magnet, small color-shifting flakes pop in shades of green, aqua, and deep blue against the black base. A scattering of micro holo glitter completes this shade. Wear it over a one-coat black polish like our Total Eclipse, or alone in 2 to 3 coats for an out-of-this-world manicure.

UFOh Yeah!: 2 coats. And here comes the green version, which is a perfect color given the name of the nail polish. As you move, you see different shades of green and even a little bit of blue shimmer. This one gives me fun zombie Frankenstein vibes for Halloween as well. I feel like the flecks were more obvious in this polish. Also, in the sunlight, the nails with the horseshoe magnet was totally blinding. Like I could see it causing a car flash with its reflection.

Comet
At Me Bro is a striking magnetic multichrome inspired by colorful
comets. A vibrant emerald green hue quickly shifts to a grape tone, with
warmer purple and even dusty blue appearing at some angles. When using a
magnet, the black background makes the small color-shifting flakes pop
in shades of green, aqua, and indigo blue. A scattering of micro holo
glitter completes this shade. Wear it over a one-coat black polish like
our Total Eclipse, or alone in 2 to 3 coats for an out-of-this-world
manicure.

Comet At Me Bro:
2 coats. This is your classic blue purple multichrome, but it’s
totally amped up in it’s vividness. It feels much more sparkly, despite
not having any glitter in it. This is a perfect aurora borealis night sky
type color.  Just like the previous color, the shift on this one was so
strong, it was blinding in the sunlight.

Star-Studded nail polish topper is a silver holographic topper that echoes the night sky. Mini holographic stars and crescent moons float in a clear base along with silver holo hex glitters in micro, small, and medium sizes to help create a star-studded galaxy on your nails. We suggest 1 to 2 coats over our magnetic polishes for the ultimate galaxy-like finish.

Star-Studded: 1 coat over Come At Me Bro. I literally have the same review for this one as I do the other glitter topcoat. The only thing is this one the sun and moon glitter did not come out as easily but I prefer that. I did a little digging and more came out so it really is dependent on how much of the bigger glitters you want on your nail and the vibe that you are going for.

I’m Spiraling is a magnetic multichrome nail polish inspired by colorful galaxies. A bold blue anchors this shade, with warm purple quickly showing through. Changes in angle and lighting can bring out cooler purple hues, while extreme angles almost reveal gold. Hit with a magnet and small vibrant blue flakes come alive with hints of indigo. A splash of micro holographic glitter completes this galaxy-like shade. Wear it over a one-coat black polish like our Total Eclipse, or alone in 2 to 3 coats for an out-of-this-world manicure.

I’m Spiraling: 2 coats. It’s your basic purple to blue multichrome and I prefer the one before this where it’s blue to purple. The magnetic pull wasn’t nearly as strong as the other ones as you can see with my bar magnet. I just don’t know why the bar magnets didn’t work because when I put it up against the bottle, there was a very strong pull. The glitter topcoat would be perfect on this polish as the shift is not as extreme at least on my nail.

Nebula-ous Plans is a bold magnetic multichrome nail polish. A deep, cool-toned purple morphs into a warmer purple hue, appearing almost pink or magenta at some angles, with hints of gold at extreme angles. When magnetized, lilaccolored flakes show off hints of pink, gold, and even green. A dusting of micro holo glitter adds a star-like quality to this polish. Wear it over a one-coat black polish like our Total Eclipse, or alone in 2 to 3 coats to really make the colors pop!

Nebula-ous Plans: 2 coats. This is another purple but with less blue. I’m probably biased because purple simply isn’t my favorite. This one also didn’t have as much of a multichrome shift and I guess I prefer the ones that really shift different colors. Just like the previous polish, there was tons of shift when I put the magnet up to the bottle, but not on my nail, so make sure you use a super strong magnet. I also found putting the bar magnet under my nail as I painted worked better for this polish, but will say that that technique didn’t work for all of the polishes so your mileage may vary.

Overall, this collection definitely does not scream summer to me, but I know that magnetics are having a moment. For me, these will probably sit in my Helmer until the fall when I’m ready for dark and moody colors, but I know not everyone sticks with seasonal colors. I am just all about the bright neons right now. All of these colors went on two coats and have crazy shifts and are super shimmery which is something to think about for removal as I had so much shimmer on me. I honestly think it could’ve maybe been seven maximum as some colors felt a little repetitive despite all the colors being different. But I can see how people would definitely buy the entire collection!

The Out of This World Collection is available now on the new KBShimmer website and will also be
available at Polish & Beauty Expo. Prices range from $12–13 for a
15 mL bottle.
