Selena Gomez is never one to be seen without an immaculate manicure. And can you blame her? If I had access to nail artist Tom Bachik, I’d be hopping from iridescent chrome jelly nails to classic burgundy to silk slip nails every other week (or more often). But despite her proclivity for perfectly polished nails, it’s been a long time—I think literally years—since we’ve seen her in anything other than a solid color or a French manicure. And that’s what makes the ornate mani she just shared such a surprise.
Gomez shared a gorgeous close-up clip of her left hand, tagging it with “@tombachik at work” and a much-deserved clapping emoji. The pinky is painted in a sparkling mauve polish and is the only nail that hasn’t been bejeweled. In fact, her ring finger is the most embellished, with gems, pearls, and studs of various sizes topping off a creamy, sheer beige.
Gomez’s middle fingernail is painted in a pretty pink and garnished with a red and gold three-dimensional Sacred Heart symbol. The white pointer nail is host to a gold, star-like shape with a rhinestone in the center, and her thumb, painted bright red, features a Baroque gold cross with a pearl in the middle.
